At TechPals, we believe technology should be a source of connection — not confusion. Our mission is to empower older adults to feel confident, secure, and supported in today’s digital world. Whether it’s figuring out your iPhone, organizing photos, spotting scams, or just learning something new, we’re here to help — with no judgment and unlimited patience.

What We Do

TechPals provides unlimited one-on-one tech support to older adults for just $8.95/month. Members get access to a team of friendly, vetted experts who can answer questions by email — and in select cities, provide in-person help at no extra cost.

We help with everything from:

  • Smartphones, tablets, and computers

  • Email, apps, and social media

  • Scam detection and password safety

  • Device setup and troubleshooting

  • Streaming, online shopping, cloud storage, and more

If it’s tech-related and it’s confusing, it’s fair game.

Why We Started TechPals

TechPals was founded in 2024 by Jesse Kaplan and Kaylin Marcotte, two long-time friends who have spent their careers building products that make life easier.

The idea for TechPals came from personal experience: like many adult children, Jesse and Kaylin were fielding constant texts and calls from their own parents about tech. "My iCloud is full." "Is this email real?" "Which laptop should I buy?" These questions were important — but frustrating, too. There had to be a better way.

After searching for trustworthy, affordable tech support tailored to older adults, they realized it simply didn’t exist. So they built it.

Who We Help

We work with older adults of all tech comfort levels — and the adult children and caregivers who support them.

Some members are complete beginners. Others use their phone every day but get tripped up by passwords, updates, or confusing apps. Still others are confident with technology but want someone they can trust for the occasional “is this safe?” or “how do I fix this?” moment.
